Department Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Lead the Guest Service Department to ensure great customer experiences, sales promotions, and service staff training.
• Oversee the Kitchen Department to ensure high-quality food delivery, food safety, cost control, and staff training.
• Manage the People Department to hire, train, and schedule staff to meet sales and profit goals, and support their development.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible scheduling and a passion for working in the McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.
