Department Analyst 12 (Continuous Improvement Analyst)
About the Role
This position functions as a senior-level lean process improvement facilitator in the Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) Projects Team. It is an advanced role that involves analyzing and assisting with the delivery of higher-complexity process improvement, reengineering, performance improvement, meeting facilitation, general facilitation, and strategic planning efforts.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and facilitate complex process improvement and reengineering initiatives.
- Support performance improvement efforts across state agencies.
- Lead meeting facilitation and strategic planning sessions.
- Collaborate with teams to implement lean methodologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.
- Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
Alternate Education and Experience: Completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may substitute for the education requirement.
Location
The position is based in Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan offers a hybrid work option, requiring two days on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week. Relocation to Michigan is required, as out-of-state applicants who do not plan to relocate will not be considered.
