Dental Assistant - Temp
Job Overview
The Dental Assistant position at AltaMed is responsible for assisting dentists and dental hygienists in providing primary care dental services to patients at the clinic or in mobile units. Duties include sterilization, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments, supplies, and proper infection control of all areas involving patient care.
Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of a board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act
- Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting is preferred
- Certification in coronal polishing
- Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting
- Completion of an accredited course in X-Ray and infection control
- A valid BLS certification or higher, following AHA or American Red Cross guidelines
- A valid CA Driver's License, if assigned to Mobile Units
- Background DOJ/FBI clearance within 30 days of hire, if assigned to Mobile Units
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
Compensation
Compensation is $25.00 - $25.00 hourly. The range is subject to change and actual salary offers are considered by various factors including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or incentives.
