Dental Assistant Team Leader
About the Role
Big Smiles Missouri, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Dental Assistant/Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Team Lead in St. Louis, MO and surrounding areas. This full-time position provides dental care to underserved children at their schools. Responsibilities
- Provide dental assisting services during mobile dental clinics
- Perform digital X-ray imaging and patient records charting
- Set up, break down, and sterilize equipment
- Travel daily to and from school sites
- Drive company vehicle (Team Lead responsibility)
- Order supplies, sterilize instruments, and conduct spore testing
- Manage back-office duties and maintain the van and equipment in good condition
- Meet deadlines and arrive on time each day
Requirements
- X-ray license and digital X-ray imaging experience
- CPR certified
- Work experience as a Dental Assistant
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel
- Ability to work well with children
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
- Team player with the ability to work on a small team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Coronal polishing (preferred, not required)
- Must be at least 21 years old (Team Lead requirement)
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office applications)
- Strong communication skills for interacting with adults and children
- Clean driving record (Team Lead requirement)
