Dental Assistant - PT/PT and FT

About the role

Responsibilities

• Creating a warm, comfortable experience for patients
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Providing efficient chairside assistance, including instrument transfer and suction
• Taking and processing digital X-rays
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards
• Documenting dental services and maintaining accurate records
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
• Maintaining equipment, organizing operatories, and monitoring supplies
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification preferred
• Current CT Dental Assistant credentials; CPR certification
• 2+ years of dental office experience and chairside assisting preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills
• Dependable, collaborative, and adaptable in a busy environment
• Experience with Dentrix and assisting dental specialists is a plus
