Dental Assistant EFDA

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Dental Assistant - EDDA/EFDA to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high-quality and compassionate care to underserved children. This position reports to the Lead Dental Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Build friendly relationships with patients and parents while educating them on good oral health.
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards.
• Provide clear, effective, and encouraging oral hygiene instructions.
• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
• Maintain a clean and presentable practice, including restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of delivering high-quality care to underserved children.

Requirements

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
• Active EDDA/EFDA certification or registration.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and active listening.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works is a plus.
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Pay

$27–$32 per hour.
