About the role
A Dental Assistant supports high-quality, patient-centered dental care within a community health setting. Working alongside providers and a supportive team, you will assist with sterilization, patient charting, chairside procedures, and patient education on oral health.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers during dental procedures
- Update patient records and perform X-rays
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols
- Educate patients on oral health and preventative care
- Aid in orthodontic procedures as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to obtain Washington State Dental Assistant registration
- BLS certification within 90 days
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and infection control
- Ability to perform four-handed assisting and work with diverse patients
- Proficiency with electronic dental records and basic computer skills
