Role Overview
A Dental Assistant collaborates with providers and a supportive team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered dental care. The role involves updating medical records, assisting with procedures, sterilization, patient education, and supporting infection control.
Responsibilities
- Perform chairside assisting, sterilization, and patient education on oral health
- Manage patient records, conduct X-rays, and prepare exam materials
- Maintain nitrous oxide analgesia (in Washington) and assist in orthodontics as needed
- Support infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to obtain Washington Dental Assistant registration and BLS certification
- Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and basic knowledge of dental terminology and infection control
- Ability to work with diverse patients and proficiency with Electronic Dental Records
