Independence Demolition is seeking a Demolition Superintendent to oversee industrial and commercial demolition projects, manage daily operations, and ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the estimating department with pre-bid planning, production analysis, and field experience for upcoming projects.
  • Support the Project Manager in preparing and maintaining a detailed project schedule.
  • Develop an efficient work sequence and execution plan prior to mobilization.
  • Read, interpret, and apply drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor production, resource utilization, and job costs to maintain profit margins.
  • Oversee project close-out activities, including punch list coordination, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final billing.
  • Uphold and enforce company safety practices, following the safety manual and collaborating proactively with the safety representative.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 5+ years of industrial demolition experience (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with owners, project engineers, and government offices.
  • Experience managing union workforces.
  • Effective verbal communication with employees, vendors, owners, and contractors.
