Demolition Superintendent (Independence Demolition)

About the role

Independence Demolition is seeking a Demolition Superintendent to lead industrial and commercial demolition projects. Key responsibilities include managing project activities, generating cost estimates, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the estimating department with pre-bid planning and field experience
• Prepare detailed schedules and maintain them throughout the project
• Create a work sequence plan using available resources
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Maintain project cost versus estimated cost to ensure profitability
• Coordinate project close-out activities including punch list, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final billing
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and cooperate with the safety representative

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of industrial demolition experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients and local officials
• Effective management of union workforces
• Excellent verbal communication skills
