About the role
Independence Demolition is seeking a Demolition Superintendent to lead industrial and commercial demolition projects. Key responsibilities include managing project activities, generating cost estimates, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the estimating department with pre-bid planning and field experience
- Prepare detailed schedules and maintain them throughout the project
- Create a work sequence plan using available resources
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Maintain project cost versus estimated cost to ensure profitability
- Coordinate project close-out activities including punch list, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final billing
- Ensure adherence to safety practices and cooperate with the safety representative
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of industrial demolition experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and local officials
- Effective management of union workforces
- Excellent verbal communication skills
