About the role
The Delivery Training Area Manager (DTAM) operates as part of Delivery Station Leadership while supporting the Integrated Last Mile Driver Academy (iLMDA) program. This role is crucial in driving and supporting concentrated driver training for various delivery stations.
Responsibilities
- Manage driver training to established benchmark standards including safety, quality, productivity, ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage and provide leadership and direction to a team of 6-10 Delivery Trainers (DTs), offering mentorship, coaching, and support to support career development and optimize their performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Delivery Service Partners (DSP), On Road Staffing (ORS), and Business Coaches (BC), to foster partnerships and align training initiatives with organizational goals.
- Enhance station oversight of driver training activities, including monitoring and evaluating performance metrics such as the DSP Scorecard, Training Capacity, Pipeline Management, and OTR Quality Metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement in driver training processes and programs by auditing training and implementing actions using available data and tools to analyze and construct strategic plans which to drive best practices and improve performance.
- Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather (driver training includes outdoor activities).
- Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, and/or holidays
- Up to 75% travel; Travel to multiple sites from your hub station.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Relevant experience in using data analytics to solve problems such as customer, partner or business performance issues
- Experience working with and delivering training/information to peers, hourly associates as well as exempt personnel
