Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the store.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Deliver product by car and then to the door of the customer.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes while carrying product.

Skills

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Verbal communication skills to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to make correct monetary change.
• Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Far and night vision for driving.
• Ability to work under stress, meet quality control standards, and make judgments and decisions.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or deliveries.
• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F or above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
• Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters including walk-in coolers.
• Hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
• Walking: Short distances for short durations, including between the store and delivery vehicle.
• Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
• Carrying: Large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray), and pizzas/beverages during delivery.
• Pushing: Trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force.
• Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for maintenance or deliveries (up to five or more flights of stairs).
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist, especially at the pizza assembly station, and when stocking ingredients.
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
• Reaching: Continuously in all directions, including above 72" and down to floor level.
• Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated area, making several deliveries per shift.
