Delivery Driver - Part Time (8352)

Reports to the A-Line Store Manager.

About the role

A-Line Store Delivery Driver is responsible for delivery of product to customers from the servicing A-Line store and/or picking up returns from customers, using a Company provided vehicle. The driver verifies that all parts being delivered match the accompanying invoice(s). This position may also include in-store duties, representing the company positively, and maintaining good customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Verifies product, loads and unloads product at the customer location safely using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
• Transports invoiced products to the appropriate customer using dispatch and delivery tracking software.
• Represents the company positively and maintains good customer relations.
• Performs daily vehicle inspections (gasoline, oil, water, tires) and reports any malfunctions on the Inspection Sheet reviewed by the Store Manager.
• Handles money from customers and makes change if necessary.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance and a safe, clean work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Must safely operate a vehicle and meet all company requirements for being an approved driver.
• Courteous treatment of and assistance to customers.
• High degree of attention to prevent injury and damage when operating a company vehicle.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Work involves continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
• May involve climbing and descending stairs.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. continuously.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Must successfully complete background check, criminal history check, physical, human performance evaluation, and drug test.
• Attitude that supports the Company’s goals and values.
• Must maintain regular and prompt attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Texas driver’s license required.
