  • Educate customers on retirement plan options and clearly explain the choices available to help their employees save for the future.
  • Manage customer pipelines and timelines to consistently meet monthly activation targets and keep implementations progressing toward launch.
  • Proactively follow established onboarding workflows, talk tracks, and processes to increase activation velocity and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Identify customer objections, operational blockers, and potential delays, taking appropriate action or escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain strong engagement throughout the activation journey, ensuring customers remain informed, supported, and on track.
  • Work closely with sales and account management teams to understand customer needs and ensure a smooth transition from the sales process into implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to resolve customer escalations and address operational challenges.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to keep activation activities moving efficiently and deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with customers, partners, and internal teams, using a needs-driven and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Monitor performance against activation and quality targets, taking proactive steps to address gaps and maintain strong results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, workflows, and customer communications as the organization continues to scale.
  • Manage a high-volume workload, potentially supporting the activation of 40-50+ customers per month while maintaining accuracy and service quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in customer implementation, onboarding, sales, account management, or a related function, preferably within a SaaS or retirement services environment.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with retirement plan design, particularly 401(k) plans, is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, confidently, and empathetically.
  • A genuine customer-first mindset, with enthusiasm for building relationships and helping business owners achieve their goals.
  • Proven ability to work toward monthly targets and performance metrics in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage numerous customers, deadlines, systems, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong follow-through and proactive communication skills, particularly when keeping customers on schedule or addressing potential blockers.
  • Ability to learn new products, systems, workflows, and industry concepts quickly, with genuine curiosity about the retirement and financial services space.
  • Strong attention to quality and accuracy, particularly when managing customer information and implementation processes.
  • Comfortable navigating different customer systems and interfaces and troubleshooting basic software or technical issues as they arise.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Google Workspace or comparable productivity tools.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to adjust quickly as priorities, processes, and customer needs evolve.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across sales, account management, operations, and leadership teams.
  • High energy, resilience, and a positive attitude suited to a rapidly scaling environment where speed and execution matter.
