Dedicated Sales Activation Specialist
This position is based in the United States and supports new business customers in successfully launching their 401(k) plans while delivering a high-quality, supportive onboarding experience.

This role combines customer engagement, implementation coordination, process management, and sales activation in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work with a diverse range of businesses, guiding decision-makers through plan setup, helping them understand retirement savings options, and ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation. Success is measured through activation targets, operational efficiency, customer engagement, and the ability to manage a high volume of implementations simultaneously.

Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with new customers to understand their needs, guide them through setup, and help establish their 401(k) plans.
- Educate customers on retirement plan options and clearly explain the choices available to help their employees save for the future.
- Manage customer pipelines and timelines to consistently meet monthly activation targets and keep implementations progressing toward launch.
- Proactively follow established onboarding workflows, talk tracks, and processes to increase activation velocity and reduce bottlenecks.
- Identify customer objections, operational blockers, and potential delays, taking appropriate action or escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain strong engagement throughout the activation journey, ensuring customers remain informed, supported, and on track.
- Work closely with sales and account management teams to understand customer needs and ensure a smooth transition from the sales process into implementation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to resolve customer escalations and address operational challenges.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to keep activation activities moving efficiently and deliver a positive customer experience.
- Communicate professionally and clearly with customers, partners, and internal teams, using a needs-driven and solutions-oriented approach.
- Monitor performance against activation and quality targets, taking proactive steps to address gaps and maintain strong results.
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, workflows, and customer communications as the organization continues to scale.
- Manage a high-volume workload, potentially supporting the activation of 40-50+ customers per month while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in customer implementation, onboarding, sales, account management, or a related function, preferably within a SaaS or retirement services environment.
- Knowledge and practical experience with retirement plan design, particularly 401(k) plans, is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, confidently, and empathetically.
- A genuine customer-first mindset, with enthusiasm for building relationships and helping business owners achieve their goals.
- Proven ability to work toward monthly targets and performance metrics in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage numerous customers, deadlines, systems, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong follow-through and proactive communication skills, particularly when keeping customers on schedule or addressing potential blockers.
- Ability to learn new products, systems, workflows, and industry concepts quickly, with genuine curiosity about the retirement and financial services space.
- Strong attention to quality and accuracy, particularly when managing customer information and implementation processes.
- Comfortable navigating different customer systems and interfaces and troubleshooting basic software or technical issues as they arise.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Google Workspace or comparable productivity tools.
- Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to adjust quickly as priorities, processes, and customer needs evolve.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across sales, account management, operations, and leadership teams.

- Base salary of $67,000-$70,000 USD, with the specific offer determined by geographic location, relevant skills, experience, and other job-related factors.
