DC Supervisor - Shipping
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee all aspects of the shipping/loading department.
- Aid in ensuring compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with operations and DC managers to manage payroll, budgeting, productivity, etc.
- Conduct scheduled evaluations on team members.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to maintain productivity and morale.
- Create and implement annual goals and plans with managers.
- Work with human resources supervisor and operations manager for effective recruiting, hiring, and training.
- Assist operations and DC managers in preparing annual capital expenditure listings for budgeting.
- Coordinate with managers for approval on expenditures.
- Maintain safety standards and identify unsafe practices.
Skills/Education/Experience Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on customer service
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Desired: College degree or logistics certification, 2+ years previous supervisory experience, advanced computer skills, completion of O'Reilly supervisor training program, fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
