About the Role
Direct the day-to-day outbound operations of the order processing department within a distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the order processing department.
- Ensure department compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with operations managers and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, and productivity.
- Complete and deliver team member evaluations in a timely manner.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to maintain high productivity and morale.
- Work with Operations and DC managers to establish and execute annual department goals.
- Partner with the Human Resources Supervisor and Operations Manager on recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
- Assist in planning and preparing the annual capital expenditure budget.
- Obtain approval from the DC manager for any department expenditures.
- Maintain safety standards and identify unsafe practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on customer service.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree or logistics certification.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisor role.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Completion of the O’Reilly supervisor training program.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
