Responsible for directing the day-to-day outbound operations of the order processing department within the distribution center. Assist in ensuring compliance and productivity while operating.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Order Processing Supervisor with overseeing all aspects of the order processing department.
- Ensure the department is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures daily.
- Work with operations managers and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, and productivity.
- Responsible for team member evaluations being written and delivered in a timely manner.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance throughout the department to maintain high productivity and morale.
- Work with the Operations and DC manager to establish and accomplish annual goals.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources Supervisor and Operations Manager to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
- Assist operations and DC managers with planning for annual capital expenditure budgeting.
- Work with the DC manager for approval on any departmental expenditures.
- Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on customer service.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately.
Qualifications
- College degree or logistics certification (desired).
- 2+ years of previous experience in a supervisor role (desired).
- Advanced computer skills (desired).
- Completion of the O’Reilly supervisor training program (desired).
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
