The National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) is recruiting for two Research Fellow positions to work on a project for the research study on "Macroeconomic Modelling of Oil Price Shocks on Indian Economy" with NITI AAYOG. The position is initially for six months, renewal subject to performance and fund availability.

About the role

As a Research Fellow, you will contribute to the development and analysis of macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks in the Indian economy under the guidance of experienced researchers at NIPFP. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, analyzing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting research on macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks in the Indian economy
  • Analyzing data using statistical and econometric methods
  • Preparing detailed reports summarizing research findings
  • Presenting research findings to stakeholders including policymakers and other experts

Requirements

  • PhD in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in econometrics and statistical software (e.g., R, Python)
  • Experience in macroeconomic modeling and economic forecasting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications
