Advertisement for the Post of Research Fellow
The National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) is recruiting for two Research Fellow positions to work on a project for the research study on "Macroeconomic Modelling of Oil Price Shocks on Indian Economy" with NITI AAYOG. The position is initially for six months, renewal subject to performance and fund availability.
About the role
Research Fellows will contribute to the development and analysis of macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks on the Indian economy under the guidance of senior researchers at NIPFP. They will engage in data analysis, model building, and report writing.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and analysis of macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks on the Indian economy.
- Engage in data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Write reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong background in econometrics and economic modeling.
- Experience with macroeconomic modeling and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, or MATLAB.
