Database Engineer Administrator (DBA) - CLEARANCE and POLYGRAPH with Security Clearance
Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.
About the role
Constellation Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle, NoSQL, and traditional SQL databases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database administration, performance tuning, security, and real-time data replication. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least five years of hands-on experience as a database administrator, with a minimum of five years as an Oracle Database Administrator. Additional qualifications include experience with SAFe methodology, MongoDB, Cassandra, and proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and procedural languages.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain database security
- Conduct database performance tuning and monitoring
- Resolve database problems and issues
- Install, configure, and upgrade RDBMS software
- Use procedural languages such as PL/SQL
- Experience with real-time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle Golden Gate, Sybase Replication Server
- Extensive experience with database design and development
- Extensive understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and other relational and non-relational databases
- Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and SQL
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
- Four years of additional DB experience can be used in lieu of degree
- Five years of hands-on, dedicated experience as a database administrator
- Five years of hands-on, dedicated experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- In-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security
- In-depth experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring
- In-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems/issues
- Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software
- Experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and/or as a member of an Agile team
- Experience with Cassandra
- Experience with MongoDB
- Experience with real-time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle Golden Gate, Sybase Replication Server
- Extensive, in-depth experience with database design and development
- Extensive, in-depth understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general
