About the role

The Database Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that support the DT Team's operations. This includes working with various databases, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement database schemas and queries to meet business requirements
  • Maintain and optimize existing database systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Perform database performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in database engineering
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of database design patterns and normalization techniques
  • Experience with database security measures and compliance processes
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good understanding of database architecture and performance optimization
  • Experience with database automation tools and scripting

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
