About the role
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting one or more operating systems
- Troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues
- Escalate issues to the appropriate resolver groups when necessary
- Create and maintain documentation on technologies you support
- Convey SOPs to junior staff
- Understand all aspects of the equipment you support
- Make decisions independently while also taking direction when given, paying attention to all details involved
- Execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects
- Act as an escalation point for junior technicians
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Network Engineering), or experience in professional or military IT-related roles
- Knowledge of hardware platforms
- 1+ years of computer networking experience, or experience in computer networking
Schedule & Work Environment
- Position may include rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day/night work weeks, and may change based on the needs of the business
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time
- This position will fill an opening at one of multiple separate sites
Pay
- USA, OH, Plain City - 33.00 - 58.00 USD hourly
