About the role
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.
As a Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting one or more operating systems. You will troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues, escalating to appropriate resolver groups when necessary. You will create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and convey SOPs to junior staff. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You will innovate and make decisions independently, while also taking direction and paying attention to all details. You will execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as an escalation point for junior technicians.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma, OR A+, CND (Certified Network Defender), Network+, or Security+ certification
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- US citizenship required
- Position may include rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day/night work weeks, and may change based on business needs
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time
- This position will fill an opening at one of multiple separate sites
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR experience
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- A+, Network+, or Security+ certification
- Associate's degree in information technology or computer science
Pay
Starting pay: $33.00 - $58.00 USD hourly (USA, OH, Hilliard). Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
