Data Center Construction Manager

About the role

This position is responsible for overseeing the installation of structured cabling systems in data center environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large, multi-million dollar projects and will be familiar with union rules and collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor Quality Control Programs
• Manage project scheduling
• Interview and hire team members
• Use OTDR and design documents to ensure quality installations
• Oversee construction scheduling
• Lead and manage large union telecom crews
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety programs

Requirements

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience on large multi-million-dollar projects focused on structured cabling systems
• Experience managing teams of 100+ on large projects and construction sites
• Experience with mission-critical infrastructure cabling installations for data center new builds and retrofits
• Preferred experience leading and managing large union telecom crews
• Preferred professional certifications: OSHA-30 Hour certification, BICSI Technician (TECH), BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
