Data Center Construction Manager

About the role

This position is responsible for overseeing the installation of structured cabling systems in data center environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large, multi-million dollar projects and leading teams of up to 100 people.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor Quality Control Programs
• Manage project scheduling
• Interview and hire team members
• Use OTDR for testing and troubleshooting
• Create and maintain design documents
• Schedule and manage construction activities
• Lead and manage large union telecom crews
• Ensure compliance with union rules and collective bargaining agreements
• Obtain and maintain OSHA-30 Hour certification within six months of employment
• Earn BICSI Technician (TECH) and Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certifications

Requirements

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience on large multi-million-dollar projects focused on structured cabling systems
• Experience managing teams of 100+ on large projects and construction sites
• Experience with mission-critical infrastructure cabling installations for data center new builds and retrofits
• Experience working under union rules and collective bargaining agreements
• Preferred professional certifications: OSHA-30 Hour, BICSI TECH, BICSI RCDD
