DARPA – Tactical Technology Office (TTO) Broad Agency Announcement Coordinator & Acquisition Support Specialist
About the role
The mission of DARPA’s Tactical Technology Office (TTO) is to reimagine every aspect of military hardware design, development, test, manufacture, and sustainment – with a focus on rapid, affordable, and scalable deployment – to create and prevent technological surprise. TTO’s goal is to demonstrate compelling hardware at the smallest scale that traces to disruptive capability, with designs that reduce risk and cost by managing complexity and can be manufactured responsively and affordably.
Responsibilities
- Assisting Government PMs and their support teams in selecting acquisition approaches for their programs and efforts;
- Serving as TTO POC and coordinator for program and office-wide acquisition processes, interfacing with Government leadership on process improvements and/or updates as appropriate;
- Providing insight and support in drafting, routing, and posting program acquisition documentation, solicitations, and announcements such as Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Broad Agency Announcement (BAAs), etc.;
- Managing the TTO Office-Wide BAA process – tracking proposals submitted to the solicitation and coordinating review and potential sponsorship by TTO PMs;
- Posting synopsis and award announcements on the System for Award Management (SAM) and Federal Grants websites; coordinating, assembling, and updating electronic and hard copy solicitation, contract, and contract-related files;
- Providing recommendations and insight into the development, structuring, and execution of procurement contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and other transactions;
- Providing recommendations on source selection policies and processes and supporting their implementation and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher - substantial relevant occupational experience (~10 or more years) may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement;
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience;
- Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance;
- Demonstrated knowledge of acquisition documentation – Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Special Notices (SNs), Broad Agency Announcement (BAAs), Justification & Approvals (J&A);
- The demonstrated professionalism, maturity, sound judgement, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for daily interactions with executive-level audiences in a dynamic, high-visibility Front Office environment;
- Strong writing skills; highly organized with excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to work on-site, full-time at DARPA in Arlington, VA.
Qualifications
Please note that US citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Highly Desired Attributes include prior DARPA experience, familiarity with the BAA process and coordinator role, Active Top Secret security clearance, familiarity with DARPA’s Broad Agency Announcement Maker (BAAM) and Broad Agency Announcement Tool (BAAT) applications, familiarity with Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs, general knowledge and experience with acquisition awards such Cooperative Agreements and Other Transactions (Section 845 Agreements), and experience supporting other ARPA agencies (ARPA-H, IARPA, ARPA-E, etc.).
Skills
Highly desired skills include proficiency with BAAM and BAAT applications, familiarity with SBIR/STTR programs, and experience with Section 845 Agreements.

$100,000 - $170,000
