Dallas – Labor and Employment Associate

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP seeks an associate to join its Labor and Employment team in a full-time, partnership-track position. This role may be based in Washington, DC; Richmond; Dallas; Houston; or Atlanta.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of employment and labor experience (class of 2022 or more senior). A successful candidate will manage employment litigation matters, advise employers on workplace issues, and handle labor matters with strong knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and NLRB processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation matters, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and communicating with opposing counsel
• Independently manage case strategy, deadlines, and dockets
• Advise employers on a broad range of workplace and labor matters
• Develop practical, business-focused advice for clients
• Conduct legal research and draft position statements and advocacy materials
• Coordinate effectively with colleagues and clients
• Handle labor-related agency investigations

Requirements

• At least four years of employment and labor experience (class of 2022 or more senior)
• Strong knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) processes
• Experience advising employers on labor matters and workplace issues
• Licensed in the jurisdiction to which you are applying
• Prior large law firm experience preferred
