About the role
TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company is seeking a Customer Service Specialist II to support customers and the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders received by phone, email, and other communication channels
- Enter and maintain accurate customer orders and electronic order files
- Provide quotations, pricing, and inventory availability for stock motors
- Monitor backorders and process them according to company procedures
- Verify shipments and provide customers with order status updates
- Process customer order changes and maintain shipping information
- Generate freight quotes and coordinate shipping logistics
- Support Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, credits, and RMA processing
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Maintain compliance with company quality, safety, and ISO 9001 standards
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- At least 5 years of customer service, order management, inside sales support, or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Typing speed of 45+ WPM and 10-key by touch proficiency
- Experience using SAP or another ERP system is preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting industrial products or manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of order processing, shipping, freight coordination, and inventory management
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
