Customer Service Representative - HOD Rheumatology - Travels Locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Handle telephones and provide excellent customer service
• Handle patient appointment scheduling
• Perform patient check-in
• Verify and authorize patient insurance claims
• Manage pre-certifications and referrals
• Post charges and prepare well-coded and accurate billing
• Maintain medical records
• Manage business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, employee health, and corporate accounts
• May work late hours, holidays, and weekends as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Less than 1 year of clerical/administrative experience
• Insurance/Customer Service experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required in Employee Health and may be required at other locations within 90 days of hire
• IT/computer proficiency
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful

Schedule

Shift 1/7:00:00AM to 5:00:00PM / Monday to Friday 5x8 hour shifts variable/ Travels between Fort Myers, Cape, and Estero for coverage
