Part Time Patient Customer Service Representative
About the role
R1 is a technology-driven company that provides solutions to improve the patient experience and financial performance of healthcare providers. As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist patients during their registration process.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and computers to intake patient information
- Collect and input patient and insurance information accurately and quickly
- Work across multiple screens and programs
- Type and answer phones in a busy environment
- Help patients who may be very ill or worried
- Ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real time
- Work quickly and handle unexpected situations
- Collaborate with a team to support patient registration
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Preferable: Medical experience
Qualifications
- Up to date on all vaccinations
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a background check prior to hire
Skills
- Confident multi-tasker
- Quick learner with technology
- Comfortable working with multiple programs
- Ability to type quickly

Pay
The base pay range for this US-based position is $14.50 - $18.99 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This is a part-time, PRN (as needed) position.
