About the role
The Customer Quality Specialist will serve as the on-site quality lead and primary point of contact for customer quality matters. This role focuses on providing real-time support during engine builds to identify and resolve quality issues while ensuring adherence to various quality standards. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Safe Launch and Value Package Introduction activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site quality lead and primary point of contact for customer quality issues.
- Provide real-time support during engine builds to resolve quality issues and lead containment actions to prevent production disruption.
- Coordinate cross-functional responses between the customer site and plant.
- Support Safe Launch and Value Package Introduction activities.
- Verify product and process readiness during builds.
- Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific requirements.
Requirements
- A college, university, or equivalent degree is required, preferably in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject.
- Green Belt Certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
