Job Responsibilities
- Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives.
- Support customers at their locations during launches and through production to address their concerns in a timely and professional manner (Interface with SQE’s, production supervisors, engineers, line operators).
- Communicate customer concerns to appropriate Decostar personnel in a detailed manner.
- Learn product’s flow, process, and assembly componentry as to respond efficiently. Have a complete understanding of Decostar’s process flows and product lines.
- Responsible for issuing Return Material Authorizations (RMA) and dispositioning of those returns at Decostar.
- Sort materials required to address customer concerns with Decostar liaison(s) and Decostar team members (onsite and/or offsite).
- Participate in brainstorming and corrective action team meetings and initiate quality alerts.
- Collect and distribute approved boundary samples and quality standards to the Control Plan Administrators (for each department).
- Communicate, train, document, and post these standards according to CPA / QS-9000 requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports on field representations / activities in appropriate formats (written and electronic).
- Participate in trials and investigations pertaining to product fit, functioning, in system damage, new product launches, current production parts, racks, packaging, etc. with APQP Program Managers.
- Maintain appropriate records.
- Travel as required to customer or sequencing locations to respond expediently to concerns.
- Maintain accurate expense information and receipts obtained during travel. Complete expense reports as per the Decostar expense report procedure.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Associate’s Degree required.
- Six (6) years work related experience (Three years of work for every one year of schooling) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.
- Minimum two years' experience in quality assurance required.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills a must.
- Must be computer literate in the Windows environment.
