Purpose of Position

The function of the Customer Liaison at a Customer/s manufacturing facility is to inspect and audit any part being used on the line for accuracy and completeness in regard to all customer requirements. They need to ensure clear, concise, timely flow of information between Customer plant and KAMTEK.

Responsibility and Authority

  • Communicate any issues the customer has during the shift and inspect or rework suspect product to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate with QC, QE, SQE and Leadership to find resolution to concerns.
  • At the end of each shift needs to report findings in reference to any concerns to Kamtek.

Essential Functions

  • Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.
  • Understand and promote Magna’s philosophies (Magna’s Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee’s Charter).
  • Perform containment of any non-conforming product, and arrange assistance as needed.
  • Perform rework on non-conforming product to customer’s requirements and arrange assistance as needed. This rework includes E-Coat Finish, straightening or other processes to bring part to specifications.
  • Provide feedback of potential concerns at customer Support Root Cause analysis on defects.
  • Issue Quality Alerts when requested by the customer for nonconforming product.
  • Perform audits on the floor- check parts to ensure meet all Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Provide direction for associates / contractors who help with containment, sorts, rework and tracking.
  • Attend customer product review meetings (e.g. Black Body Reviews / Horseshoe / VOCA / GFP / CIPA audits), and represent KAMTEK to report back findings
  • Provide a daily shift report of issues to KAMTEK Quality Engineers, Management
  • Promote good housekeeping (5S)

Physical Demands

  • Some of the physical demands of this position include the ability to lift 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods of time, and occasional bending or stooping.

Knowledge Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical Training

  • Experience, GD&T

Other

  • Proven track record in cosmetic, functional testing and dimensional inspections
  • Experience with basic Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
