About the role

This role requires an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, mopping, dust mopping, sweeping, and scrubbing floors
• Emptying waste containers and delivering collected refuse to the loading dock
• Performing restroom cleaning and checks
• Cleaning water fountains, fitness centers, showers, and locker rooms
• Cleaning freight and passenger elevators
• Cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures
• Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors at prescribed heights
• Dusting furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
• Shampooing carpets
• Stripping, sealing, finishing, and polishing floors
• Following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners
• Policing grounds and emptying waste containers
• Assisting in Special Events setups
• Monitoring buildings for maintenance, safety, and security issues and reporting violations to immediate Supervisor or Management
• Maintaining custodial equipment in a clean, safe, operable condition
• Reporting shortages of supplies and equipment failures to immediate Supervisor or Management
• Performing other related work as assigned

Requirements

• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to one (1) year; some locations may have additional or different qualifications
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI clearance or higher
• Valid driver’s license
• Proven experience as a custodian, janitor, or in a similar role
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Very good physical condition and strength

High school diploma is preferred but not required.

Pay

Salary Range: $43,000.00 - $66,000.00
