Custodian (Full-Time or Part-Time)

About the Role

The position involves cleaning and maintaining district facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and furniture.
• Maintain grounds such as sidewalks and play areas.
• Assist with building maintenance, minor repairs, and preventive upkeep, including regulating climate control systems.
• Set up facilities for special events and assist with lunchroom arrangements.
• Ensure safety by inspecting equipment, following safety protocols, and safeguarding building access during opening and closing.
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and comply with disposal regulations.

Requirements

• Ability to understand cleaning, maintenance, and safety instructions.
• Knowledge of minor repairs and groundskeeping.
• Proficiency in operating cleaning tools and handling supplies safely.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, perform manual tasks, and work in varied environments.
• Physical stamina, emotional control, and adherence to safety procedures.

Work Environment

Work environment includes indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and uneven surfaces. No supervisory duties.
