Custodian (Full-Time)

About the Role

Responsible for maintaining clean and safe facilities to support a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas by sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors
• Wash windows, walls, woodwork, and equipment
• Empty trash receptacles and move furniture for cleaning or events
• Perform minor repairs like replacing light bulbs and ensure building security when needed
• Handle special custodial tasks and other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of custodial experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, stand, and bend extensively
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience with hazardous cleaning chemicals and equipment use
• CPR/First Aid certification and Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required
• Responsible, dependable, and team-oriented
• Willingness to follow policies and procedures
• Works with some hazardous materials and performs building security as needed

Work Environment

Moderate risk due to working with hazardous cleaning materials; minimal public contact; routine tasks with little stress; supervision primarily from Maintenance Supervisor.
