Responsibilities

  • Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas.
  • Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips, and polishes floors using light and heavy-duty powered equipment.
  • Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, and other fabrics.
  • Performs routine maintenance of cleaning equipment.
  • Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes toilet facilities.
  • Dusts assigned areas and empties trash.
  • Washes walls, windows, blinds, and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds, and safety belts.
  • Moves heavy furniture.
  • Troubleshoots, makes adjustments, and performs minor repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Follows instructions and uses a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions safely.

Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with frequent bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items or carts weighing 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must complete pre-employment checks, including a medical examination and Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card.
  • Must be willing and able to work varying shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, tools, and equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties listed in the responsibilities section.
  • Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment of the trade.
  • Ability to keep the assigned work area neat and clean.
  • Resume must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Resumes should be two pages or less and specific to the position.
