Custodial Worker NA-01

This position is located at Pointes West Army Resort in Appling, GA. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and common areas.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips, and polishes floors using brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, and lightweight floor scrubbers, waxers, and buffers.
• Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes bathroom and toilet facilities.
• Empties trash.
• Makes beds and changes linen.
• Washes mirrors, walls, windows, and blinds.
• Provides and replenishes toiletries and room condiments.
• Notes condition of room and reports any conditions requiring maintenance or repair.
• Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies and condiments to perform assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
• Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Appointment subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3.
• Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (www.sss.gov).
• Position, duty hours, location, and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow simple oral instructions.
• Must be able to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools and equipment, generally requiring no prior training or previous work experience.

Benefits

• Overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week, whichever benefits the employee more.
• Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays (eligible for regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees).
• Eligibility for extra pay if the majority of scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.

This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
