Custodial Manager, Part-Time (Cleared Only) - Contingent Upon Award

About the Role

This position is located on-site in Arlington, VA. The Custodial Manager (Part Time) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all custodial and janitorial operations within the facility. This role ensures that cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and appearance standards are consistently met across all assigned areas.

Responsibilities

The Custodial Manager will lead a team of custodial staff, organize daily workflows, manage supplies and equipment, and maintain a clean, safe, and well‑kept environment for all building occupants.

• Supervise, train, and evaluate custodial and janitorial staff.
• Plan and coordinate daily cleaning activities, schedules, and assignments.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout the facility.
• Inspect work areas regularly and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper usage and storage.
• Address maintenance or sanitation issues promptly and coordinate with facility management when needed.
• Enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Promote a positive, efficient, and safe work environment for custodial personnel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in custodial support.
• Demonstrated experience supervising custodial or janitorial teams in a commercial, industrial, or large‑facility environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Knowledge of custodial practices, cleaning equipment, and sanitation procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with facility staff and management.

Pay

The pay rate for this position is $66,000 - $76,440.
