Cultural Resources Project Manager
About the role
We're looking for someone who can manage small to medium cultural resources projects or support large-scale projects. You'll work closely with senior project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality reports.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage all aspects of cultural resources projects
- Support the development of project scopes
- Manage administrative tasks under the Antiquities Code of Texas, National Historic Preservation Act, and other relevant laws
- Write and peer-review cultural resource technical reports
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across various sectors
- Facilitate project reviews and participate in discussions with accounting and technical team management
- Perform fieldwork as needed, lifting up to 20 pounds and navigating through varied terrains
- Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via email
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and nights
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field with at least ten years of experience
- Project Management Professional certification
- Experience managing cultural resource projects that include archaeology, architectural history, and tribal engagement
- Knowledge of National Historic Preservation Act - Section 106 coordination management
- Bachelor's degree in related field with seven years of related experience and two years of project management experience
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
- Able to interact with various design teams and work in minimally supervised environments
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge to supervise cultural resources specialists
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Ability to operate a vehicle day or night

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and night shifts.
