Cultural Resources Project Manager

About the role

We're looking for someone who can manage small to medium cultural resources projects or support large-scale projects. You'll work closely with senior project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality reports.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all aspects of cultural resources projects
  • Support the development of project scopes
  • Manage administrative tasks under the Antiquities Code of Texas, National Historic Preservation Act, and other relevant laws
  • Write and peer-review cultural resource technical reports
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across various sectors
  • Facilitate project reviews and participate in discussions with accounting and technical team management
  • Perform fieldwork as needed, lifting up to 20 pounds and navigating through varied terrains
  • Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via email
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and nights

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field with at least ten years of experience
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Experience managing cultural resource projects that include archaeology, architectural history, and tribal engagement
  • Knowledge of National Historic Preservation Act - Section 106 coordination management
  • Bachelor's degree in related field with seven years of related experience and two years of project management experience
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Able to interact with various design teams and work in minimally supervised environments

Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge to supervise cultural resources specialists
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Ability to operate a vehicle day or night

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and night shifts.
