As a Cultivation Technician, you will support the operations within the Cultivation department, primarily assisting the flower department with plant maintenance and sanitation tasks. You may also provide support in veg, mom, and propagation areas as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical, repetitive agricultural work following directions from supervisors
- Work on ladders or elevated platforms for tasks such as netting and trellising flower plants
- Load plants and place emitters
- Tuck and spread plants as directed
- Prune and defoliate plants
- Use PPE in accordance with company guidelines
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material to maintain clean grow rooms
- Clean, sanitize, and store all grow room tools and equipment after use
- Perform various manual cross-department job duties as needed
- Complete all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 21 years of age (18 years in CT, PA, and WV)
- Successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and punctuality
- Cultivation experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)
- Work in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (up to 95 degrees or greater)
- Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Work seated or standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movements
- Stand for the entire shift when required
- Visual acuity (with or without aids) for reading, computer work, and inspection of small parts/details in day and night conditions
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more
- Verbal communication at conversation levels in moderate noise environments
