Cultivation Technician I (8:00am-5:00pm)

About the role

Join Trulieve as a Cultivation Technician I and be part of one of the fastest-growing industries in the nation. This role supports the cultivation department by performing essential plant maintenance and sanitation tasks, primarily in the flower department, with flexibility to assist in veg, mom, and propagation areas as needed. Our plants are hand-grown in a controlled environment to ensure natural, high-quality products that alleviate symptoms for patients with serious medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical, repetitive agricultural work following directions from supervisors
• Work on ladders or elevated platforms for tasks such as netting and trellising flower plants
• Load plants and place emitters
• Tuck and spread plants as directed
• Prune and defoliate plants
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness in grow rooms by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and bagging excess plant material
• Clean, sanitize, and store all grow room tools and equipment after use
• Perform various manual cross-departmental duties as needed
• Complete all other assigned duties

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 21 years of age (18 years in CT, PA, and WV)
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
• Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail
• Punctuality and reliability
• Cultivation experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)
• Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (temperatures of 95 degrees or greater)
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Capability to work seated or standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and performing repetitive movements
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, or pinch for task completion
• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movements
• Visual acuity (with or without aids) for reading, computer work, and detailed inspections, including clarity of vision at 20 feet or more in day and night conditions
• Ability to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels in moderate noise environments

Pay

$15/hr
