About the role
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred)
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) (required)
- Advanced Certification in CT (required in OR and HI, preferred in CA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required)
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment (preferred in CA and OR)
- Venipuncture certification (preferred in CA and OR)
- ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certification (required)
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric
- Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
- Use PACS and teleradiology systems to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location
- Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information
- Ensure the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $45.33 to $73.24 per hour. Additional compensation may include differentials, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
Schedule
Full-time regular, 4/10 shift (four 10-hour days per week).
