About the role
Full-time CT Technologist responsible for operating CT equipment and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT scans using proper exposure factors and protocols to produce accurate images.
- Assist in complex invasive CT procedures with sterile techniques.
- Start intravenous sites, assess and inject contrast as needed.
- Practice radiation safety and maintain equipment in good condition.
- Document patient information, prepare images for interpretation, and ensure accurate data entry.
- Conduct quality assurance testing and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students, ensuring competency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, graduate of AMA-approved radiology program.
- Registered with ARRT, hold CT state license, CPR certification may be required.
- Desirable: 3+ years of experience, ARRT Advanced CT certification, associate degree.
Skills
- Operate CT equipment and organize patient flow efficiently.
- Effective communication with patients and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety standards.
- Read and follow technical instructions; react calmly in emergencies.
- Maintain BLS/CPR skills.
Additional conditions
May cover ancillary offices, physical lifting, walking, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
