About the role
A CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and ensuring a positive patient experience at a medical center.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures following departmental guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical expertise.
- Operate imaging equipment safely, adjusting techniques to maintain image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
- Maintain cleanliness, disinfect equipment, and report issues promptly.
- Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and comfort using clear communication techniques.
- Administer contrast, position patients correctly, and review images for diagnostic quality.
- Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, monitor patient condition, and respond to emergencies.
- Support department operations, uphold regulatory compliance, and assist with workflow organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
- Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS.
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail, patient communication, and safety consciousness.
