Overview
Full-time CT Technologist position at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. Shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours, three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, ensure proper positioning on the CT table, and explain the procedure with empathy; address any concerns or questions.
- Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of targeted body parts, adjusting settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure and ensuring radiation safety.
- Monitor patients to ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Work closely with radiologists to interpret images; assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures.
- Maintain quality assurance of CT scanners and X-ray machines to ensure proper function and accurate imaging.
Requirements
- Graduate of a program accredited by ARRT.
- Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
- CT ARRT Certification (required effective 07/01/2015).
- Maintain BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire.
- Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Proficient computer skills.
