About the role
The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
This is a weekends-only schedule.
Responsibilities
- Compassionately assist and position patients on the CT table.
- Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
- Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide patients with proper post-procedure instructions.
- Prepare and turn over the room using aseptic technique between patients; clean and sterilize equipment.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology (preferred).
- Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
- Two years of experience preferred, with additional training in CT scanning.
- On-call required; must be able to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.

Belton Regional Medical Center is an 80+ bed acute care facility located in Belton, serving southern Jackson and northern Cass counties. We are one of 10 HCA Healthcare Midwest Health System hospitals in Kansas City, offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient services.
Our hospital underwent a $39.2 million renovation and expansion project over the past decade to meet the growing medical needs of our community.
