About the role
This position is responsible for performing Computed Tomography (CT) scans to produce detailed cross-sectional images of tissues and internal organs for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain the process, administer contrast if needed, and position patients accurately.
- Operate CT imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality scans and proper data entry.
- Perform quality assurance on CT machines and assist with accreditation applications.
- Report equipment issues, accidents, or complaints to management.
- Participate in emergency calls, and may work weekends or float to other locations as required.
- Maintain safe patient care, adhere to policies, and manage supplies efficiently.
- Support professional growth through ongoing education, mentoring, and sharing expertise with team members.
- Deliver compassionate, personalized care, aligning with service standards to enhance patient experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current license or temporary license by the relevant medical board.
- Certification as a CT Technologist by ARRT or NMTCB.
- Experience: At least one year as a CT Technologist or two years as a Radiologic Technologist with CT training.
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.
