Role Summary
Performs Computed Tomography (CT) scans to produce detailed cross-sectional images for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares and positions patients, explains procedures, administers contrast agents when needed, and ensures high-quality imaging.
- Monitors patient data and maintains CT equipment through quality assurance measures.
- Assists with accreditation processes and reports equipment malfunctions or incidents.
- Provides safe care adhering to organizational policies, supports departmental goals, and promotes professional growth.
- Participates in emergency response, may work weekends and float to other locations as required.
- Acts as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff, fostering compassionate, personalized patient experiences.
- Other duties as assigned to support community health and organizational success.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Current license by the Texas Medical Board and registered as a CT Technologist with ARRT or NMTCB.
- One year of CT technologist experience or two years as a Radiological Technologist with CT training preferred.
- Ability to lift/maneuver patients and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
