CT Technologist
Job Summary and Qualifications
Performs CT examinations and special procedures under the guidance and direction of the Radiologist and CT Supervisor. Operates equipment safely, maintains ALARA standards, follows image gently/image wisely recommendations as well as all regulatory bodies and ACR standards. Provides mentoring and training to Tech Apprentices and Radiologic Technology students. Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and the medical staff. Documents in Radiology RIS system upon the completion of exams. Calls or faxes preliminary "wet read" reports to appropriate locations. Uses "Read Back and Verified" policy. Abides by the "Code of Ethics" of a technologist set forth by the state and national ARRT & ASRT governing bodies. Checks work areas at the beginning and end of shift for work supplies and cleanliness. Keeps supervisor notified of supply levels and is watchful of maintaining par levels without overstocking supplies.
What You Will Do in This Role
- Documents in Radiology RIS system upon the completion of exams.

- Checks work areas at the beginning and end of shift for work supplies and cleanliness.
- Keeps supervisor notified of supply levels and is watchful of maintaining par levels without overstocking supplies.
- Participates in the on-call back-up schedule for needs after hours.
- Immediately reports equipment malfunctions to supervisors and assists in maintaining service call logs.
- Attends and participates in monthly departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Coursework at Technical School/College
- Technical School Diploma or Certificate in: - Radiology Technology
- Current National Licensure in: - ARRT
